Data Warehousing is nothing more than organizing a company's data so that people can see it and use it. It has received a great deal of press coverage in the last year, but it remains nothing other than providing:

      • A central database (the "warehouse"), organized according to a corporate data model
      • One or more other data bases ("data marts") organized to meet specific retrieval requirements.
