The Entertainment Industry Development Corporation is a private corporation under contract to the City of and County of Los Angeles to issue permits for making movies, television commercials, and so forth in public places in Southern California. The Corporation also serves as ombudsman in relationships between producers and the public.
Essential Strategies, Inc. was retained to establish the basis for building a new system to support the permitting process. The "Discovery Report" was produced in three weeks, including complete data models, function hierarchy models, and data flow diagrams.
ESI was then retained to complete the detailed analysis of functional requirements and is participating as an advisor to the design and construction process.
